2025 has been an incredible year for musical theatre — from bold new productions to fresh takes on old favourites, the stage has been bursting with creativity, emotion, and unforgettable performances. I’ve been lucky enough to see some truly spectacular shows this year, each one offering something unique — whether it’s heart-stopping vocals, clever storytelling, or staging that completely redefines what live theatre can be.

Narrowing it down to just ten wasn’t easy, but here are the musicals that stood out the most — the ones that made me laugh, cry, and fall in love with theatre all over again.

This list does not include Six the Musical, as that is in a world of its own, so would have automatically been added to the 1st position.
